October is national walk to school month and as part of that we are asking children to try and travel in an active way more often. This can be walking, biking, or scooting from home to school or even just parking a little bit further away and walking the final part to school. Last month, many children across the school achieved their active travel badges and we hope for even more children to achieve them this term.
As part of walk to school month, our travel trackers are being entered into a leader board with other schools across Gateshead. Windy Nook are currently 7th out of 16 schools involved and want to continue to climb the leader board!
