In celebration of Anti-Bullying Week, children across the whole of Windy Nook have taken part in a variety of activities and lessons to spread the message to ‘Reach Out’. On Monday, everyone wore their favourite odd socks to kick-start the week by celebrating individuality and we’ve danced and sang to the official Anti-Bullying Week 2022 song ‘Calling Out’ by Andy and the Odd Socks band. They’ve then taken part in assemblies, role played various scenarios and had fantastic discussions about what bullying is and how it can be prevented. Children have all learnt about how to ‘Reach Out’ to get help to stop bullying for either themselves or if they witnessed it happen to someone else. We had a whole school Odd Sock Design competition with winners from each class receiving a certificate and prize. What a busy but worthwhile week it has been to show that Windy Nook stands up to bullying!
