More Winter Activities

We have continued to focus on our Winter topic this week. We made some beautiful paintings of snowflakes which we have displayed in nursery. By reading our Secretes of Winter book , we learned what an evergreen tree is and during our Friday outdoor session we explored our school grounds to look for some. We found some pine trees and lots of holly bushes. we also looked for ice and footprints in the snow. We found a lot of ice and some of us enjoyed experimenting with different ways of braking it and changing its shape. For maths this week we made some repeating patterns using natural resources. For PSHE we sat in a circle, introduced ourselves and then chose a friend to roll the ball to before saying their name. During phonics we participated in listening and attention activities and following instructions with the focus on moving quickly and slowly. We also made some more winter pictures using our touchscreen board.
