This week, the children in Lower Key Stage 2 carried out a enquiry into the Vikings – asking this key question: ‘Were the Viking all bad?’
The three classes studied primary and secondary sources and held many discussions in order to arrive at a conclusion to their question. We looked at the writings of Anglo-Saxon monks, observed Viking weapons and learned lots about their lives as traders and craftspeople.
The children did lots of analysis and then came to their own conclusions about just how ‘bad’ the Vikings really were – with a mix of results!
