Today, the children in LKS2 were visited by three dentistry students from Newcastle University. The children learned all about oral hygiene. One one station, the children learned all about brushing their teeth. They learned we should brush for two minutes using circular movements. Using fake teeth, the children then practiced their brushing technique. At another station the children learned how much sugar is in different foods/drink and the effect too much sugar can have on their teeth. Finally, the children learned about the different tools used by dentists. They even got to dress up as a dentist! The children were great listeners and asked lots of questions. Well done LKS2!
