This afternoon, Year 6 began a workshop in collaboration with the RAF (Royal Air Force). We designed and manufactured, following precise instructions and working together as a team of engineers to create rockets. Next week, we will complete the workshop by launching our rockets. We will use our maths skills to work with angles to see which angle is optimum for launching our rocket and ensuring it travels the furthest. We will then investigate the effects of adding a payload to our rockets. We’re all enjoying the opportunity to develop our science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) skills and are looking forward to blast off next week!
