The children had a visit today from the fire brigade linked to our Keeping Safe topic and London’s Burning. The children were shown how they tackle fires with the different hoses, the different equipment they need to wear to protect themselves, where the water tank is and what they need to do in an emergency. They children discussed with the fireman how there had been no fire brigade when the Great Fire of London happened and what they used instead.
