In keeping with our Space theme in science, UKS2 carried out an investigation into trajectory. They worked in pairs to make a rocket out of card and then the whole phase headed outside to test which angle of trajectory would send their rocket the furthest. 1 child measured the angle of trajectory in 15 degree increments and the other child blew their rocket using a straw. They both then used pre-measured cones to assess the distance travelled and recorded the results. They had great fun firing their rockets around the yard and were able to draw accurate conclusions based on their findings.
