In LKS2, the children have begun a new project this week. Children have been set the design brief to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing Christmas card using a lever mechanism to create a pop-up effect.
This week, children have conducted market research to find out what would be the most popular Christmas card design. They have also completed research on the different types of lever mechanisms that can be used, and created prototypes of these to see which will be most effective.
Altogether, we have agreed on a lever mechanism to use in our cards and are looking forward to designing and making them in the coming weeks!
