This week in nursery we have focussed on Remembrance Day. We discussed why we wear poppy badges in the week leading up to Remembrance Day and we created poppies in many different ways. We painted, drew, used the interactive white board, made collages and used some red play dough to make some beautiful poppies. On Friday we also participated in a minute silence. During our maths sessions this week we learned how to play dominoes. We focussed on matching both pictures and numbers and demonstrated some excellent turn taking and sharing skills. We focussed on speaking and listening during our literacy sessions and spoke about where we liked to play while in nursery and why? We also participated in Squiggle While You Wiggle to help us improve our gross motor skills and pre writing skills. During our outdoor Friday session we painted on the ground using red, green and black paint to create a field of poppies. We also had fun with the beautiful Autumn leaves which have fallen from the trees in our nursery garden.
