To support our learning for this half terms topic Trains, Planes and Automobiles the children were able to investigate a Box of Delights from the Discovery Museum. Inside the box were a variety of artefacts linked to George and Robert Stephenson. The children could hold a replica steam train, a Geordie lamp, coal, a pocket watch, look a different maps, photographs of George’s house in Wylam, different coal mines and a £5 note. Lots of questions were asked as the children were very inquisitive.
