On Thursday 7th March, Windy Nook Primary celebrated World Book Day. We kicked the day off with the Fantastic Mr Atkinson from WH Smith. He kindly donated two books to each child in the school and gave super recommendations, engaging the classes in lots of brilliant book talk.
We also enjoyed a range of live lessons, including a Horrible Histories quiz with Terry Deary and a football quiz that included contributors from the men’s and women’s game.
Instead of dressing up in costumes, the children ‘dressed up’ their classroom doors! Each door was dressed with a book theme and Mrs Forrest picked three winning designs!
We’ve also opened the Book Fair so come along and buy yourselves a bargain – with hundreds of top titles to choose from!
