We have had another lovely week. We have tended to our seedlings which are thriving in their bigger plant pots and new greenhouse. However, some of our seedlings have been eaten by slugs so we have put some Rosemary in our greenhouse which will hopefully repel the slugs! On Tuesday we had a visit from the author Liz Million. She showed the children how to draw cats step by step and they all joined in. They made us very proud with their concentration and their end results. Some of us participated in Squiggle While You Wiggle and some of us practised our number skills during maths activities which we will complete after half term. We used the paint tool on PurpleMash to produce pictures on the interactive white board. On Wednesday morning we all used the hall and participated in some ring games and action songs. During our Friday outdoor session we looked at trees on our school ground and tried to identify them using an identification chat of leaves. We discovered that we have Maple, Willow, Oak, Silver Birch, Hornbeam, Hazel and Holly to name but a few. We made our own identification booklet to help us identify trees in the future.
