Over the last couple of weeks, there has been a new approach to break and lunch times for KS1 and EYFS, the children have the opportunity to mix together in both the KS1 and Early Years yard. The children have access to many areas in this time; the mud kitchen, water, physical area, sand, writing, reading and role play being only a few!
It has been fantastic for staff to observe the new relationships being formed between older and younger children, there has been lots of communicating, sharing and supporting of each other’s play. The children have taken responsibilities during this time supporting staff to set up the toys and equipment, it has been great to see children taking lead and reminding each other of the expectations set.
Take a look below of some of the fun we have been having!
