Christmas has definitely began in nursery this week! We made some reindeer food to sell at our school fayre and also to take home to feed reindeers on Christmas Eve. To make the reindeer food we mixed oats and Rainbow Drops together and then we carefully counted five spoonful’s of the mixture into bags. We then used a hole punch to make a hole in a printout of a Christmas verse and threaded some ribbon through it which was tied onto the bag. We worked as a team, displaying excellent turn taking, negotiation and patience. We decorated our Christmas tree with tinsel and baubles and Mrs McNally decorated parts of our nursery with tinsel. We have rehearsed on the stage for our Christmas performance and some of us were chosen to select a chocolate from our Advent calendar for trying hard to sing and sign. We produced Christmas themed pictures on the interactive white board and played a game on the computer using ‘click and drag’ to decorate a Christmas tree. During snack time we shared Christmas themed books. We participated in Christmas themed Playdough Disco. During our Friday outdoor session we found short and thin sticks which will represent snowmen arms on the Christmas cards that we are going to make next week.
