To conclude our Space topic we consolidated our knowledge of it by having a Space party. We prepared for our party throughout the week. We prepared by designing a placemat to put our party food on. We drew space themed things like rockets, The International Space Station and the planets in the Solar System. We also decorated  biscuits with icing so that they looked like a planet. We read the story QPootle 5 which is a fictional story about visiting Space. At the end of the story the characters have a party on the moon. We thoroughly enjoyed our Space food which consisted of a planet biscuit, moon cheese crisps, Saturn ring crisps, banana moons and chocolate planets. We also played our planet/colour sorting game in our school hall and participated in a space themed yoga session.

During our maths sessions we focussed on making patterns in a variety of ways. We drew patterns, verbalised patterns, produced patterns on the interactive white board, performed actions to make patterns and used number to make patterns. We also participated in Squiggle While You Wiggle and Playdough Disco.
