At the start of each academic year, each Key Stage 2 class nominates two school councillors to form the School Council. This year, the school has elected some wonderful councillors who work very hard to make a real difference to life at the school. The children on School Council were asked to provide a focus that could help make the school a better environment for everyone and they decided they wanted to help bring the school grounds to life.
Part one of this, was to ensure all yards were full of fun and excitement. This led to the school purchasing more equipment and to organise break and lunch so that all children were able to enjoy time outside. The second part of their plan is to improve the school gardens and they have made a start. They are working to clear some of our neglected planters and have helped arrange for Rob (a very helpful volunteer gardener) to come into school and help us run a gardening club, initially for Upper Key Stage 2 pupils.
Well done to School Council for their excellent work.
