This week, Lower Key Stage 2 have been using a printing technique for their Pop-Art portraits. The children drew around the outlines of a portrait photograph – something regularly done in the Pop-Art movement – and then traced these outlines to create a new portrait. Once these images were glued into sketchbooks, the children wrote their design ideas – including block colours and Ben Day dots (another feature of Pop Art).
We can’t wait to see the finished pieces in all their colourful, Pop-Art glory!
