We have had a lovely first week back after Easter. We welcomed three new friends who have settled into nursery life amazingly well. This half term we are focusing on composting and worms. We read the story, A Worm called Wallace this week which is a fictional story with factual information about worms and the importance of them. We made worms with play dough and used mathematical language like long, short, longer, shorter, longest and shortest while making them. We made red play dough this week after first having a class vote about which colour we would like and we used it to participate in play dough disco. Some of us have been helping to sand one of our outdoor tables with sand paper in preparation to have it painted. During our outdoor Friday session, we introduced our new children to our school grounds and explored on our ‘top field’. We noticed that our fruit trees are now displaying some beautiful blossom. during the afternoon we had fun using the parachute.
