This week has been Science Week and KS1 have loved all of the activities. We have been chemists and physicists; exploring how different chemicals react and making predictions. The children took part in a hands on experiment using acids, alkalis and indicators. Using the chemicals and science equipment they made fizzy and foamy chemical reactions. During the session we also discussed how important it is to carry out Science experiments safely. To round it off we took part in an ‘Big Science’ assembly where we were covered in dry ice, saw rockets fly and even watched fire be created!
they found. We also used magnifying glasses to explore different frozen liquids looking at and discussing the similarities and differences.
