This week in Science, we have been investigating which type of rock would be best to create a floating rock sculpture. We tested an assortment of rocks to see whether they’d float or sink, making observations on what happened to each of the rocks as they were dropped in the water.
We made lots of observations but there was only one winner – the pumice was the only rock that floated!
