Last week, Year 5 and 6 were lucky enough to have a visit from Jamie, Miss Clough’s son. As part of our Science topic this term, we asked Jamie to come in as he has a special interest in Space and works at RAF Flyingdales where satellites are tracked. He told the children all about how rockets are made, fuelled and launched into space and how scientists have learnt about the planets from space exploration. The children were engrossed and utterly amazed by his wealth of knowledge (as were the teachers!) The children particularly enjoyed investigating the planets up close using a special computer programme. Thank you to Jamie, for enhancing our curriculum.
