This week in our science lessons, Elms, Oaks and Beeches have been learning more about our solar system We worked together in groups to learn about how the Solar System was formed. We explored questions such as how many stars are there in our galaxy and why the earth is spherical. We looked at and compared a geocentric and heliocentric model of the Solar System, discussing how scientific understanding changes over time as technological advancements help us to better understand space. Finally, we presented our learning from the past two lessons on a mind map, using our creativity to showcase our knowledge of the Solar System.
