This week, our reception children have been busy exploring weight and capacity through lots of hands‑on investigation. The children enjoyed using scales to compare objects, deciding which items were heavier or lighter and discussing their thinking with great confidence. They also experimented with filling and emptying containers, using key vocabulary such as full, empty, half full and nearly full. Their curiosity, problem‑solving and teamwork really shone as they discovered new ideas through play-based learning.
