This half term, the children have been exploring colour and pattern through exciting art activities inspired by artists such as Mondrian, the Delaunays, and Jill Charuk.
First, the children created their own colour wheels, experimenting with mixing primary colours to make secondary ones. They then explored warm and cool colours, as well as how to make colours lighter and darker using tone.

Next, the children practised observational drawing using real flowers, preparing for their final piece.

They finished the unit by painting vibrant flower bouquets in the expressive style of Jill Charuk, carefully choosing colours, brush sizes and patterns.

The children have produced confident, colourful artwork—well done, everyone!
