Last week, Windy Nook took part in the Drowning Prevention Week campaign organised by the Royal Life Saving Society UK. We began the week with a whole-school assembly exploring the importance of water safety and the potential dangers associated with open water and other aquatic environments.
Throughout the week, each class participated in a range of engaging activities, including identifying hazards, completing word searches, and taking part in role-play scenarios. These activities helped pupils develop a greater understanding of how to stay safe around water and how to seek help in an emergency. As we move into the warmer months, this important learning has equipped our children with valuable knowledge and skills to help keep themselves and others safe.
