Our wonderful KS1 learners have been busy becoming lion experts!
We have been exploring non-fiction texts, learning how to find information using key features such as headings, subheadings, captions, and pictures. The children did an amazing job identifying these features and using them to discover fascinating facts about lions.
Working in pairs, the children shared their learning and supported each other to build confidence in reading and discussing information. They found out lots of exciting facts, including where lions live, what they eat, and why they are known as the “king of the jungle”!
To make learning even more special, the children shared their knowledge with adults around school proudly explaining their lion facts and demonstrating their understanding of non-fiction texts.
We are so proud of their teamwork, curiosity, and growing confidence as young researchers!
