Over the last week in Bluebells, we have been looking at plants and what they need to survive. The children have lead their own experiment to investigate how water travels through a plant. For our experiment, we placed some celery in a container of coloured water. Each day we observed how the celery changed colour as the water moved further up the plant. We found that the water was transported over a number of days. The celery gradually turned more red, but eventually stopped and stayed the same as the water begun to evaporate The Bluebells took ownership of this project remembering to check it each day and wrote a fantastic investigation.
