Hi everyone,

Here are the activities for today.

Article 24: You have the right to the best health care possible, safe water to drink, nutritious food, a clean and safe environment, and information to help you stay well.

Article 28: You have the right to a good quality education. You should be encouraged to go to school to the highest level you can.

LITERACY:  

Listen to the Pirate Cruncher Story again.

Think about the Way the Story rhymes. Make some doubloons (Paper cut into circles will do). Draw a treasure chest. (or print one out). Can you make some rhyming treasure for your treasure chest?

Rhyme words:   see     map      land       quick      ship

Remember you can make up rhyming nonsense words too.


PHONICS:

All Children: Choose the Y1 words and play the game

Set 1 Speed Sounds 9.30 am (for children in Nursery and Reception and children who are new to English)

Set 2 Speed Sounds 10.00 am (for children in Reception that can read Set 1 Speed Sounds and for children in Year 1 and 2)

Set 3 Speed Sounds 10.30 am (for children in Year 1 and 2 that can read Set 2 Speed Sounds)

 

MATHEMATICS:

Identifying numbers beyond 20. Find the numbers on the 100 square. (Play the any number version)

Show the different number patterns that can help find numbers, for example 0,10,20,30,40,50,60. Explain that the number square goes un in 1’s when we count along and up in 10’s when we go down.

OTHER: 

Design a flag.

All pirates have a special flag. If you were a pirate what would you have on your flag? Can your child design their own pirate flag. They can use the template below or make their own using paper.
