Dear Parents/Carers
To help the children transition back into school from the 8th of March, we are putting a greater focus on physical activity. With restrictions, and bad weather, we are aware many children will not have had the opportunity to exercise or take part in sport as much as they usually would. We think it is very important for children to be regularly physically active as this not only keeps their body healthy but also has a great impact on their mental health and well being.
We have therefore decided that from when children return on the 8th March until the Easter holidays, children in KS1 and KS2 will have 2 PE lessons a week. EYFS have their own time table for outdoor activities and will advise you if there are any changes. Please read the information below to see your child’s 2 PE days from the 8th. Please send children in PE kit on both these days, we recommend that children wear trainers to school everyday for the rest of the spring term as they may be doing more outdoor learning in other subjects too.
