Our Windy Nook Community

This week in RE lessons, the children in LKS2 discussed what it means to belong to a community. The children then considered what it means to belong to the Windy Nook School community. As part of their lesson the children designed a badge which reflects the values of our school community. They explained why they chose each symbol on their design and explained why it is important to the school community. We also discussed all of the benefits of being in a school community. The children created some fantastic badge designs, take a look at some examples below.

Article 28: You have the right to a good quality education. You should be encouraged to go to school to the highest level you can.

Article 30: You have the right to practice your own culture, language and religion – or any you choose. Minority and indigenous groups need special protection of this right.
