The Dragonflies re-read the story Jack and the Beanstalk before they helped plant out their beanstalks in the Reception Class garden. The children discussed all of the changes made over time from planting the beans to the healthy plants we have now. In particular the children noticed and described how the bean grown and they shared lots of information about what plants need to grow and stay healthy. They children then helped prepare the soil and plant the beanstalks. We can’t wait to see how the plants grow now they have been planted outside.
Take a look at the amazing time lapse video which shows how the bean grows into a plant.
