Owls and Robins carried out this half term’s science investigation to see if we could determine what type of conditions woodlice prefer.
We created our own box habitats which were separated into four different areas:
- Light and dry
- Light and damp
- Dark and dry
- Dark and damp
We then placed some woodlice into the box and left them to see which area they moved to. After we discussed our results we used this information to look around similar parts of the school grounds to test our theory and see if we could find more woodlice!
This half term the type of scientific enquiry we used was pattern seeking.
