Today, children from year 5 and 6 went to Watergate Park to compete in a cross-country competition with many other schools across Gateshead. We sent a team from year 5 and a team from year 6. The children had to run just over a mile and all tried their best to keep going and motivate each other. The children did really well individually, with some children coming within the top 20 out of around 200! The team showed a great sense of sportsmanship with each other and other skills and did the school proud.
