What is the festival of Rosh Hashanah?

Article 13: You have the right to find out things and share what you think with others, by talking, drawing, writing or in any other way unless it harms or offends other people.

Article 14: You have the right to choose your own religion and beliefs. Your parents should help you decide what is right and wrong, and what is best for you.

Rosh Hashanah, Head of the Year, is the Jewish New Year celebration.  Its a time for reflection. The children were asked how can you grow and improve yourself this year? Where do you need to seek forgiveness for wrong choices you made last year? As a class we discussed how they celebrated New Years Eve and how this year we can make changes. We discussed any wrong choices they made last year and how they can be forgiven moving into the new year of 2022. They watched a video telling them how the Jewish families celebrate Rosh Hashanah over 2 days with lots of food, prayers and creative rituals. They enjoy dipping apples into sweet honey to celebrate a sweet new year.
