This week in English the children have been learning about instructions and what they are for. They worked with a partner talking turns to read a set of instructions on how to make a jam sandwich whilst the other partner carried out the instruction. They were introduced to adverbs (a word describing a verb which a doing word) such as carefully, slowly, gently and smoothly. The best part of reading the instructions was the eating of the sandwich at the end!
