This week the children were lucky enough to go and visit Beamish to learn about toys from the past and how they have changed over time. They took part in a workshop where they were given information on how toys were made from wood, card and paper. The paint that was used was quite dull and to make it brighter lead would be added to it. The children had great fun playing with lots of different replica toys. They also had an explore around Beamish on the trams and buses, visited the old school getting the chance to sit at the desks then go outside and play in the old fashioned playground. A wander around the pit village and the different houses and a quick visit to the dentist and teachers houses. What a fab day was had by all!
