we are incredibly proud to announce that the Windy Nook Primary School Football Team has been named County School Team of the Year.
The team’s dedication, commitment and passion for school sport since playing their very first football match for the school has been nothing short of incredible. Throughout the year, they have represented Windy Nook with pride, determination and outstanding sportsmanship, achieving a remarkable list of successes along the way.
This season, the team proudly won the Autumn Cup, secured the Felling Schools League Title. They also competed at county level for the very first time in the school’s history, narrowly finishing as runners-up on goal difference after an outstanding campaign.
These achievements are a testament to the hard work, resilience and team spirit shown by every player.
A huge congratulations to Ava, who has been presented with the Stepping Up Award. This award recognises students who show exceptional dedication, commitment and enthusiasm towards a sport. Ava only began playing football last year, but her determination to improve, willingness to learn and positive attitude have been outstanding from the very beginning. Through hard work and perseverance, Ava has developed her skills and become a valued member of the team. Her commitment to training and desire to continually improve make her a thoroughly deserving recipient of this award. Well done, Ava. We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved.
Congratulations to Jace, our Sports Leader of the Year.
This award recognises not only outstanding sporting achievements but also leadership, responsibility and being a positive role model for others. Throughout the year, Jace has demonstrated all of these qualities and more. As well as excelling in sport, Jace has shown exceptional leadership by organising and leading games and activities for our Year 1 and Year 2 pupils. His enthusiasm, encouragement and dedication have had a positive impact on younger students across the school. Jace is a fantastic ambassador for school sport and a truly deserving winner of this award.
