3D Modelling Using Tinkercad

The children have been learning how to navigate the software, use a range of design tools and create three-dimensional objects from simple shapes. As their confidence has grown, they have experimented with moving, resizing, rotating and combining shapes to build increasingly detailed models.

Pupils have shown excellent curiosity and creativity while exploring the possibilities of digital design. They have enjoyed solving problems, helping one another and refining their work to achieve the effects they want. It has been fantastic to see them developing their spatial awareness and technical skills as they bring their ideas to life on screen.

The unit is still in its early stages, and we are excited to see how the children’s designs evolve over the coming weeks as they learn more advanced modelling techniques and create their own original projects.
