As part of our new topic on instructional writing, Mrs Broomhall’s morning class have been enriching their vocabulary by designing robots.
Inspired by the animation “Girl and Robot” the children mind mapped technical vocabulary such as wrench, weld, inspection hatch and pressure gauge. They then produced their own fabulously imaginative and accurately labeled robot designs.
We are now going to move on to using booth time connectives and imperative verbs to write instructions for building these amazing creations.
