There was huge excitement at school this morning when we returned from the half term holiday to find a huge bone in our wild life area!
Some of the children wondered if it was the bone of a Tyrannosaurus Rex or perhaps a Pterodactyl? There was lots of speculation!
Luckily the Great North Museum have experts to take care of this for us so we will have to wait for their expert knowledge.
In the meantime Year 2 created many expanded noun phrases to describe our find: a mysterious, shiny bone, a dirty, smooth creature, an interesting, glorious fossil were just a few!
