In Year 2 we work hard, always do our best and remember to have some fun!

Important information:

Homework will be given out on Thursday and returned the following Monday (Maths and Grammar & Punctuation).

Spellings are given out on Monday and expected to be practised regularly during the week.

Reading books are changed by the child with guidance from teaching staff. Each child is expected to read regularly at home (at least 3 times per week).

P.E. is on Friday and each child is expected to have a full kit with their name clearly labelled.

Any money sent into school needs to be in a sealed envelope with the child’s name clearly labelled and  what the money is for.



Nightingale Ninjas!

Destination Judo have worked with Nightingales on a judo taster session. The class loved learning some of the moves and lots of them are interested to go along to judo classes in Gateshead.

We celebrated Australia Day in Nightingales as part of our 'Down Under' topic. We made Australian flags, sang 'Waltzing Matilda, danced to The Wiggles and ate and made lamington cakes. We all had a bonzer day!
