For science Owls conducted an investigation to see if a shadow could move. We started off at 9.15 and drew around Mrs Short’s shadow with chalk on the yard. We predicted what they thought would happen when they came back out in in an hours time. To make it fair we went out at the same time every hour (9.15, 10.15, 11.15, 12.15, 1.15 and 2.15).
The children were soon quick to realise that the shadow was moving every time because the sun was moving around Mrs Short. They had great fun predicting and observing.
