On Monday afternoon, staff and children from Windy Nook visited Gateshead Food Bank, Team Valley. We gathered together the food and household items, that have been generously donated by our school community, and travelled to the warehouse.
On arrival, we were greeted by food bank volunteers. After all the bags were weighed, we learned that we had collected 79kg of items! The friendly staff then showed us around and were fantastic in answering the children’s questions.
We’d like to thank Gateshead Food Bank for their hospitality and, of course, to all the people who kindly donated to the this worthy cause.
