As part of our ‘Vicious Vikings’ topic, Bluebells, Tulips and Snowdrops were lucky enough to be visited by three teachers from Durham University. Our guests shared their knowledge and expertise in a variety of fun activities which included making runic headstones, handling Viking weaponry and playing Old Norse word games. Of course, we also got to try on some Viking clothes!
By the end of the day, we could speak some of the Old Norse language, play a Viking strategy board game and decipher kennings.
