Good morning Robins and Owls!
Please see below an example a timetable that could support your child’s home learning. This timetable offers a structure to your child’s day. This is just a suggestion, however all phonic/reading/spelling; English and Maths activities must be completed (these are highlighted in yellow). The children have a foundation subject activity to complete today, which is History. Please find this in the timetable.
Before 9am
Wake up, have breakfast, get dressed and tidy room. Jo Wicks daily PE lesson starts on Youtube at 9am if you would like to do this. You need to search for P.E with Jo on Youtube.
9:00-9:30
Reading time, the children could read a book of their own choice and you could read this together or encourage the child to read it themselves. Ask the children questions about the book – for example ‘What do you think will happen next? And why do you think that?’ ‘How do you think the character is feeling and why?’ You could also ask the children to suggest more exciting words that have been used in the book, for example instead of ‘said’ the author could have used ‘yelled, shouted or whispered’.
9:30 – 10:00 Phonics
