Watch Stanley’s Stick https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9O8f5FxPA3c Talk about the story. In particular, discuss the part in the story when Stanley throws his stick into the sea. Why do you think he did that? Find a stick and use your imagination to turn it into something, just like you did after watching ‘Not a Stick’. You might want to give your stick a name like Stanley dose in the story! Take a photo of your picture and put it on Tapestry.

Find ten sticks on your daily walk. How many are straight? How may are curved? Put them into two groups. Use your number cards from your pack or write down the numbers and put them next to the two groups.
Other:
Make a picture or collage using the sticks you have collected. You can use more sticks as well as other natural materials such as grass, pinecones, stones, leaves and flowers.
