Tulips Set Work 29.6.20

Good morning Tulips,

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend, here are your home learning activities for you today.

English

Spelling

This week your spellings are a mix of words from the last few weeks.

Your spelling list this week is: business, complete, girls’, boys’, babies’, houses’, sisters’, trolleys’, potatoes’ & arches’.

Reading

This week you will be finishing reading Ice-Cream Villain on purple mash. You need to read chapter 5 and complete the quiz questions. Open the quiz and the chapter in two separate internet tabs so that you can re-read the text as you answer the questions.

Maths

Your maths tasks this week all involve position and direction, just like last week. Today on conquer maths your task involves grid coordinates. Remember to watch the video on conquer maths before completing the task.

Log onto times tables rockstars every day and practice your times tables.

Topic

Remember you have all week to complete your topic activities so take your time and ensure you include lots of details.

History

For the next three days you will be given different research questions about Anglo-Saxon life. On Thursday you will be writing a factfile on Anglo-Saxon life.

Monday: Anglo-Saxon homes. What were their houses and roofs made from? What type of rooms were in an Anglo-Saxon home? What was an Anglo-Saxon village like? Can you find any other facts about Anglo-Saxon homes?

Computing

Use hour of code twice this week. Choose a coding project to complete. We have completed Minecraft coding in school, you can choose to complete this task or another on hour of code.

If you need anything or have any questions, email me on Purple Mash.
