Good morning, today’s learning is as follows:

Phonics
We are going to continue focusing on high frequency words. Play ‘Tricky Truck’ see how quickly you can recognise these words. If you get stuck, go back and practise these words. If you feel confident with the tricky words, have a go at yes/no yeti!

English
You should now have a bank of adjectives and rhyming words ready to use in your poem. Today you are going to have a go at writing one verse of a poem about Australia (4 lines). Your first line should begin with ‘In Australia I can see and every other line begin with ‘I see’. See the example below. Record in your red books.

In Australia I can see the big deep blue sea,
I can see a Koala hanging in the tree.

Can I learn about Australia day? Research some facts and then create a fact file in your red book with information and pictures.
