In Snowdrops, we have been doing marvellous multiplication and delightful division!
The children have learned written methods of calculation, such as grid multiplication and short division – both of which have gone down a treat! The class has been excellent at taking on these methods and then applying them when working out reasoning problems. We’ve also been able to investigate some interesting theories – such as if you halve the divisor, it doubles your answer, as well as if it’s always true that the sum of four numbers is divisible by four.
Everyone has worked very hard and really increased in confidence, when it comes to multiplying and dividing. We’ve got some very proud mathematicians in our group. Please have a look!
